Feels like putting together a sandwich
In the previous post, I have completed the main body of the tank. The only other parts to assemble are the tracks.
First few pieces required for the start of the track assembly
Partially completed frame
The tracks. A total of 79 pieces are required...
...which is then linked together
There is a slight problem here. With 79 pieces, the tracks are on the loose side (left). I find that the best way to solve this problem is by removing one piece. This applies to both side of the tracks
Another printed piece
The Bat wing
Printed pieces on one of the cover for the tracks
Last look at the working mechanism and frame before being covered
Completed tracks for the tank. Rinse and repeat and you will get the other side
The main body of the tank sandwiched between the 2 tracks. Just like a sandwich
To attach the tracks to the main body is simple. Just align the pegs with the holes
Completed Bat-Tank with the Batman and Riddler minifigures
To conclude this review, below is a list of all the pros and cons and the conclusion of what I think about this set according to my personal experience.
Pros:
- The tracks move- Printed parts
- Actual firing cannon
- Huge in size
- Very nice looking
Cons:
- Not as challenging as it should
- Loose connection for one of flick missiles and the wings
- The cockpit hatch has to be removed to put in a minifigure
Conclusions:
From the box, it looks like this will be a very big and challenging set. What I can tell you that it it big but it not that challenging. The most work to be done on the set are the tracks but when it is completed, it does look nice and intimidating. I feel that the price is a bit too steep for this set but if you manage to get it at a steal, I would recommend it. It will look gorgeous with the other bat vehicles.
