RG RX 78-2 - WIP 4

The need to be extra careful

The waist and backpack are to be completed in this post. If you are wondering why I'm doing both of them together, it is not because of the same reason as the MSV Zaku-II where all the parts are interconnected to each other. Since this MS has a small backpack compared to the others, I decided to build them together and use the box for the backpack to keep the pieces of the core fighter.

RG RX 78-2 - WIP 3

Some mistakes are never learned

To date, this kit is the longest RG kit I'm working on. I remember finishing the RG Justice Gundam in a week including decaling and top coating. I'm not sure why this kit takes such a long time but the main thing is enjoying the hobby. As with all the other builds, after completing the legs the waist section is next. As you can see there are still nub marks on the parts which have yet to be removed.

The first part I tackled are the skirts. They are the biggest piece for the waist and also the least amount of parts required.

After completing the skirts, I started work on the 'V' of the crotch.

RG RX 78-2 - WIP 2

Something new for the new year

The foot of the kit was decaled and ready for installation in the previous post. In this post, we will be starting with the legs and as usual move our way up to the head.

A look at the rest of the armor and inner frame of the leg. It doesn't look like there are a lot of parts but do keep in mind that they are all small parts. I had the experience of loosing one of the small pieces during the build. I will get to that later.

RG RX 78-2 - WIP 1

The Granddaddy of Gundams

I would like to say Happy New Year to all out there. Starting a new kit after the long break of Gundam due to work and life commitments. This round, I will be building the Granddaddy of all Gundams. The Real Grade RX 78-2. I will also be trying new things with this kit and post and hope it turns out well. As usual, the parts were removed from the runners and stored into their respective boxes.
