Too Cute To Resist
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!!
As this is a Christmas post, will complete the Shield Liger and let it celebrate Christmas with its friend, Gustav.
Continuation from the previous posting, this post will start by putting the Shield Liger together.
Completed parts of the Shield Liger waiting for final assembly
Completed Shield Liger
[Action Poses]
Some action poses from the manual. Comparison between unpainted and painted kit
Shield generator being deployed. The shield generator flap is tight and felt like it might break so will leave it at the down position
Steps to deploy the AZ 30mm 2-Barrel Beam Gun
The jaws are able to open and close, but teeth are very sharp
Shown in the manual to deploy the missile pods, will have to reposition the 'flap' as there is no hinge. This is one feature I will not be able to show as the 'flap' is very tight when assembled in the close position and do not want to risk scratching the paintjob
'Do you have food for me?'
'Hmm, I wonder what is up there.'
Up I go. Just one more feet to go
Almost at the top
Shield Liger with Gustav. Left the space in the middle for the Death Saurer. Might reposition the Shield Liger to the middle to fend against the Death Saurer
To conclude this review, below is a list of all the pros and cons and the conclusion of what I think about the kits according to my personal experience.
Conclusions:
The majority of this kit lies in the playability and the cuteness of it. There are a lot of details on the legs and the main body but are lost due to the same color. Some paint works are required to fully bring out the details but that would limit the playability of the kit.
The Gustav requires some glue for assembling of the pistons but that is not the case for this kit. All the pieces are molded to the legs. The only time I used the glue is for the pilot as he can't seem to sit in place. The AZ 30mm 2-Barrel Beam Gun at the back of the Liger is a bit loose and easily snaps out from the ball joint. The missile pods are hard to deploy as the paint made the 'flap' too tight to reposition.

The completed kit turned out better than expected and cannot seem to stop looking and posing the kit. It has a wide range of movement, and all the poses captures the essence of a cat. The only thing left is to display it onto the Gustav's platform. I would highly recommend this kit to everyone.
Pros:
+ Lot of minute details despite it being a D-Style
+ Pilot included
+ Able to interact with other D-Style kits like Gustav
+ Too cute to resist
Cons:
- Need lots of paintwork to bring out its full potential
- Lots of sharp edges
