All finally comes together
With all the painting works completed for the Kamiki Burning Gundam and the completion of the head and weapons in the previous post, we will now explore how the core fighter fits as the body for the Zephyranthes. The transformation of the core fighter was covered in WIP 2.
Parts of the gundam to be assembled
Some preparations are need to attach the core block. The front and the back are lifted up and hands are at a 90° angle for easier access
This is the tricky part. Have to attach the tabs at the bottom of the upper body to the holes at the top of the core fighter. Have to be patient and slowly adjust for the tabs to snap into place

When all tabs are fitted correctly, the front and back can be closed over the core block
The bottom pegs are easier to align and snap into place
The completed Zephyranthes with the core block. I have to admit that the RG kit looks great when it has been fully assembled
[Action Poses]
Shield can be extended
To conclude this review, below is a list of all the pros and cons and the conclusion of what I think about this kit according to my personal experience.
Pros:
+ Fully transformable Core Fighter II
+ Very detailed Core Fighter II
+ Very good articulation
+ Very good looking kit
Cons:
- Yellow parts on the back of the Core Fighter II are loose
- Core Fighter II looks anorexic and out of proportion. Kinda reminds me of the Pterodactyl Dinozord from Power Rangers
- Lot of very tiny parts especially the shoulder sensors
- Bottom connection to core fighter is loose
Conclusions:
Having completed this kit and seeing how good it looks fully assembled I was reminded on why I go through hell in the building process of small parts. As with all other RG kits they do look good and have very good articulation. There are tons of action poses one can do with this kit and it all looks good on camera.
Did not have the action base so all the poses are limited to ground poses but for the sake of my mental health, I will pull the brake for the GP01fb build for the time being while I continue working on the Kamiki Burning Gundam. What I am sure for now is that the GP01fb will be the last RG kit in my collection.
The issue I had with this kit besides the tiny parts which can be easily sent to the land of no return is the connection tabs at the waist to the bottom of the core fighter. It is loose and when getting the figure into any dynamic poses it will be dislodged and hard to put the tabs back in place.
WIP 1 - Building two kits together (again?)
WIP 2 - Core Fighters, Transform and block-up!!
WIP 3 - A little intermission before the actual program
WIP 6 (Final) - All finally comes together
