Bela 10226 Man-Bat Attack NightWing Helicopter

A quick build to de-stress

This is a quick built to de-stress as there are so many things happening in my life. Read in an article that in order to better deal with stress, you will need to one of the following from T.E.A.R.S. (Talk, Exercise, Artistic expression, Recording or writing experiences and Sobbing). What I went for is the third option which is Artistic approach.

This kit is a knock-off replica of the Lego Man-Bat Attack from Bela. It has all the mini-figs and accessories as the original counterpart.

Box:

Front

Back

Sides

Contents:

Only consist of 5 bags and a instruction manual

Manual:
Front cover

Hidden somewhere between the manual is a sticker sheet and Batman's cape

Back cover

Mini-figs:
Pieces for the mini-figs

There are 2 faces for Batman. Not sure if it can be clearly seen in the photo but the print quality for the back face is not done properly.

Nightwing also comes with 2 different expressions. Can be seen in the photo, the faces does not line up.

Man-Bat also suffers the same issue as the other 2 mini-figs. The best way around it is to select the best looking feature and stick to it. I like the printed fur on Man-Bat's torso

Completed mini-figs with the best facial appearance

Bat-copter:
All the bags were opened and the pieces were put into one pile. It is easier to find the required pieces this way compared to finding them in their individual bags

The only printed part

Top view of the cockpit and hull

Front and back view

Bottom view. Just the landing wheels and retractable hook

Completed bat-copter

Accessories:
As far I can remember, this is the first brick set which has so little spare parts.

Nightwing's glider. (Forgot to take photos of the WIP and functions)

The rotor can be rotated either 90° up or down

The engine can be swivel 360°

The side missiles can be swivel

Retractable hook. Just turn the knob to release or keep the hook

The nose radar can be adjusted up and down

Completed set with all the mini-figs and accessories

As usual, below is a list of all the pros and cons and the conclusion of what I think about the both the kits according to my personal experience.

Pros:
- Nice display kit
- Lots of functions
- Has 2 vehicles

Cons:
- Loose pieces
- Faces not printed properly
- Has no spare pieces

Conclusions:
Some of the pieces which does not fit tightly. One way of getting around it is to make sure that the loose pieces are at the bottom. That way there are more pieces to fix on top of it to hold it in place. This is a nice alternative set and it comes with all working accessories at a fraction of the cost.
